I have my own properties but also consult and manage Airbnbs as part of our business. What we have seen, as both Realtors and Airbnb hosts, is the increase in buyers looking/purchasing homes that have basements, rooms with an extra entrance, or just the potential space to build out in order to make additional income.

In most cases, these homeowners make enough from these rental spaces to pay all or most of their mortgage!

Our very own Buyer Specialist, Omid, just bought a home with a unique but profitable layout. His 4 bedroom ranch has a master bedroom with its own entrance aside from the main front door. While some may have thought this odd, Omid saw great potential. With three other bedrooms in the home, he could utilize the Master as an Airbnb suite – so that’s just what he did. He consulted with me on design and now has this amazing space that is booked up his first month.
