There’s something about turning 40 that makes you sit down and really look at your life. Not in a heavy way… more like a quiet, honest check-in with yourself.
That happened to me recently. I didn’t plan it. I just grabbed a notebook one morning and started writing down everything I tried in my 30s. Every business. Every idea. Every pivot. Every moment I said yes without knowing what the outcome would be.
By the time I was done, I had a list of 47 things.
Forty-seven.
And when I pulled out my highlighter and marked the things I’m still doing today… it felt like God held a mirror up to my life.
It showed me patterns.
It showed me purpose.
It showed me the pieces of me that stayed — even when life shifted, even when I changed, even when I didn’t have everything figured out.
That list told the truth about who I’ve always been:
someone who tries…
someone who listens…
someone who moves even when she’s scared…
someone who doesn’t wait for perfect timing…
someone who trusts God more than she trusts the plan.
And I realized something.
My 30s weren’t about figuring it all out.
They were about becoming the woman who could walk into her 40s with clarity.
The learning, the building, the failing, the trusting, the starting over — it all prepared me.
Not for a moment…
but for a decade.
A whole new chapter.
And I feel that deeply now.
This next version of me was shaped by the girl who had no idea what she was doing but kept going anyway.
If you’re reading this and you’re in your own season of trying, shifting, questioning, or reinventing… I hope this gives you peace. You’re not lost. You’re becoming.
And everything you’re doing right now is preparing you for the woman you’re about to meet.
If you want to hear the full story, I recorded it in Episode 1 of The Reinvention Series.
And if you want support on your own clarity journey, I made something for you — a free Reinvention Prompt Guide that will help you get honest about who you are and who you’re becoming.
This is a beautiful season.
Even when it feels messy.
Even when it feels uncertain.
It’s still holy.
And I’m honored to walk through it with you. 🤎
