Ok ALOT happened in 2018, ALOT. I really suck at writing things down but I want to do a better job in 2019 on documenting whats happening in my life. I think that it will serve as a way to reflect later when I can go back and see how far God has brought me.

Ok so let me bring you up to speed. I sold A LOT of homes including our first home, moved into one of our investment properties and bought a Lot in English Aveune. (Don’t call it The Bluff, that is a derogatory way to describe the neighborhood) Read a lot of good books, traveled to 4 countries, celebrated my 10 year wedding anniversary with my husband, hired our 2nd employee and started a new Airbnb! It’s been a heck of a year.

So What’s next

It’s so hard for me to start planning my goals for next year. If I can be honest, it’s because I’m afraid I can’t top this year…

About a month ago I had a Come to Jesus Moment at 4:00am. I was sitting there thinking about prospecting clients so that I could make sure my 2019 would be for sure set up for success. That’s when I begin reading Called to Create. Here is what I read:

“It is God, not us, who produces results; and that in order to find true rest hustling must be accompanied by even greater trusting in God. As Christian entrepreneurs, we should be asking God to show off so much. We should ask him for big things so he can blow our expectations out of the water and get the glory from us and those around us. God needs your discipline. He needs you to hustle just as hard as any other entrepreneur. The difference is, as Christians, we know our hustle is only part of the equation. Ultimately, it is God who will produce results through us and is thus worthy of all the glory. Our hearts are restless, until they can find rest in You. We will be restless until we rest in God alone.”

My lesson was this. It’s not bad to plan and project but it’s important to remember who gives and controls everything. It’s not me,Thank God, it’s him.

Whether 2019 turns out to be better than 2018 or worse I’m happy to know my rock and refuge will always remain and be the same.
